Our Story

Hi, my name is Kasia and together with my husband Zib, have founded Ayus Wellness with the aim of helping others optimise their health and wellbeing. Over the past decade I have become increasingly conscious of the delicate balance of life, and along with Zib and our 3 boys, have journeyed on a path of health and wellbeing enlightenment to try to ensure that we can all live for as long, and with the fullest health, as possible. I started my journey into health in my early twenties when I decided to become a fitness instructor. I began working in a GP referral gym with a wide range of clients, many of whom suffered from early onset chronic disease, obesity or frailty in old age. I developed a strong bond with many of my clients and began to recognise the impact made to their bodies as the consequences of them living their lives without sufficient knowledge and understanding of the need to care for their bodies. Through exercise and dietary modifications, I began to see improvements in the health, quality of life and general wellbeing of my clients. This was my first eye-opener to the positive impact of holistic, lifestyle interventions, which stood in contrast to the standard Western medical drug/symptom based approach to treating disease.

At a similar time, I began a deeper examination of my own lifestyle to try to ensure that I and my family would be able to live long, healthy and happy lives, whilst still allowing for occasional indulgences. To aid this, I experimented with, and integrated (when they felt right to me), various longevity and wellness habits, rituals and mindsets which have come from diverse traditions and practices across the globe, including Tibetan Buddhism, South American shamanism and Sufism, though in particular, the wisdom and depth of Ayurvedic knowledge has been particularly instrumental for my journey. Around the time of the birth of my second son, Zac, I stopped working as a fitness instructor to concentrate on my role as a full time Mum to our boys. However, I knew it was my life’s calling to help others achieve their optimal health and wellbeing. Though only a novice myself, I recognised the positive impact of some of the traditional knowledge I had been implementing at home and understood that the correct utilisation of holistic interventions could really be of huge benefit in our Western society. While raising my family, I continued my study of ancestral wellbeing approaches, recently qualifying as a certified Ayurvedic masseuse. I will be starting a Health Coach Diploma later in 2023, as a foundation for training as a qualified Ayurvedic therapist in the future.

My husband Zib is my partner co-founder at Ayus Wellness and whilst we have shared many aspects of our journey together, our unique viewpoints have really helped us define the company’s ethos. Zib also has a strong background in fitness and nutrition, having previously worked as a personal trainer, health coach and nutritional consultant; both to aid with management of specific health concerns and optimise longevity. In contrast to my dive into traditional wisdom, Zib holds an undergraduate degree in Human Bioscience, a Masters in Molecular Medicine and is currently studying a PhD investigating factors that impact human longevity biochemical pathways. I have developed our family’s conscious lifestyle modifications based on intuition and the experiential wisdom of our ancestors. Zib has helped by applying a scientific, evidence-based approach to our lifestyle choices but from the perspective that science is only capable of producing evidence of that which it has suitably sensitive technology to currently detect.

Unfortunately, a lack of this understanding is what has caused the scientific dogma over the past couple of hundred years to reject many thousands of years of ancient wisdom, simply because at the time, its mechanism or effect had not been possible to study or measure. Thankfully, within the last couple of decades, our shared human consciousness is awakening to the benefits of some of these ancient practices and scientific technology is developing such that we can now verify the benefits of such practices on our health and well-being. This is really the key mindset behind Ayus Wellness; understanding the benefits of time-tested ancestral wisdom in combination with an open scientific mindset to optimise a wide range of well-being modalities, techniques, and technology. Our initial aim is to develop a range of wellbeing products grounded in ancestral wisdom and optimised by modern scientific understanding to help others achieve optimal health. We fully live by the ethos that optimal health shouldn’t be something for only those who can afford it, and whilst our products do have a price tag, we will always commit to donate proportion of products to deserving people living with less than optimal health who could benefit from our products but may not be able to afford them.

Our ultimate aim is to open an Ayus Wellness Clinic and Wellbeing Centre, to educate and guide others through an exploration of their own health and wellbeing, enabling them to truly optimise their health. This will be through a combination of expert guided lifestyle interventions, combining ancestral wisdom and current holistic scientific understanding alongside a range of healing modalities. Our strategy will be designed to optimise the core lifestyle pillars of exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress management and toxin exposure reduction to enable our clients to evolve to their next level of health and wellbeing.
